Climate Change “Need for Urgency”

Professor Sir John Beddington, the government’s Chief Scientific Adviser, has this morning told the BBC that there is a “need for urgency” in dealing with climate change. He goes on to say that the evidence for climate change is “completely unequivocal”.

Both shale gas and coalbed methane are dirty energy sources which contribute to climate change and their benefits as transition fuels are overstated because they will only partially displace even dirtier coal.
